Weitverbreitet ist die sogenannte nephelometrische Methode. Dabei ist ein CRP normal, wenn es mit < 0,5 mg/dl gemessen wird. Eine mäßige CRP-Erhöhung liegt etwa im Bereich von 1 – 5 mg/dl, eine deutliche Erhöhung etwa bei 5 -10 mg/dl, hohe Werte liegen über 10 mg/dl.
