Was ist eine Triple Therapie?
Eine Triple-Therapie ist eine medikamentöse Behandlung mit drei verschiedenen Wirkstoffen. Sie ist eine Form der Kombinationstherapie.
Wie kann man Helicobacter behandeln?
Helicobacter lässt sich wirksam mit Medikamenten behandeln. Die Behandlung besteht aus einem Säureblocker und zwei verschiedenen Antibiotika. Zusätzlich kann noch ein weiteres Antibiotikum oder das Mineral Bismut hinzugenommen werden. Der Säureblocker hemmt die Bildung von Säure im Magen.
Warum eradikationstherapie?
Durch eine Eradikation von Helicobacter pylori können bereits bestehende karzinogene Vorgänge in der Magenschleimhaut unterbunden werden. Zu diesem Ergebnis kam eine südkoreanische Studie. Durch eine antibiotische Therapie konnte die Inzidenz nachfolgender Magentumore um die Hälfte verringert werden.
Wie lange bis Antibiotika wirkt bei Helicobacter?
Antibiotika und Bismut wirken gegen die Bakterien. Sie nehmen diese drei oder vier Arzneimittel über 7 bis 14 Tage ein. Helicobacter-Bakterien sind zunehmend unempfindlich – resistent – gegen die Antibiotika. Einige Wochen nach Behandlungsende soll Ihr Arzt daher kontrollieren, ob die Behandlung erfolgreich war.
