Was versteht man unter Vasodilatation?
In den Wänden der Gefäße liegen Muskelzellen. Erschlaffen diese Muskelzellen, kommt es zu einer Erweiterung des Blutgefäßes (Vasodilatation). Erweiterung und Engstellung der Blutgefäße dienen der Regulierung der Durchblutung der Organe und Gewebe im Körper.
Warum Vasodilatation?
Die Vasodilatation ist die unwillkürliche Entspannung der glatten Gefäßmuskulatur, die indirekt durch den Parasympathikus hervorgerufen wird. Die Entspannung der Muskulatur erweitert die Gefäße und erhöht so den Blutfluss. Das Lumen der Gefäße wird so verengt und der Blutfluss senkt sich ab.
